Holocaust Memorial Day 2022 — OCHD message of support and solidarity

Today, the 27th January witnesses commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day 2022.  OCHD wishes to record its heartfelt and full support for the major, ever needed, educational work of the Holocaust Memorial Day movement.

The OCHD Team provide our deepest respect for survivors of the Nazi era holocaust of Jewish community members (and indeed other communities targeted by the Nazi regime) across the whole of Nazi occupied Europe in the 1939 – 1945 period, and to victims of other holocausts, such as in Rwanda and other lands.

We believe that the work of the Holocaust Memorial Day movement in the UK and globally must never be dimmed, mocked, or ignored.

At the heart of the work for building a fully inclusive UK is education of all sections of our nation and society, from Parliament (there we are and remain active on advising for example reform of the National Curriculum and it’s content and use for good competent citizenship of our younger generations through both of the latter) to schools, OCHD is active, and inspired by the sombre lessons taught by the Holocaust.
